Today was the day to see a heartbeat. However, we have been keeping a secret. Today we were waiting to see TWO heartbeats. Yes, you read that right... we are expecting twins! We are happy to say that today both babies are measuring perfectly with two beautiful heartbeats. Please keep these babies in your thoughts, as we would really like to meet them next summer.
Introducing Baby A
and Baby B
Finding courage and hope to mend half a heart
Zoe was born on July 4, 2011 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. This is our journey to find courage and hope to mend our daughter's half of a heart.

Ticker Change Monday! Seven Weeks!
Baby is now the size of a blueberry!
Baby's brain is growing fast, generating about one hundred new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.
Today marks the seventh week of pregnancy. Besides the bloat and exhaustion, I feel pretty good. Brian doesn't let me do anything around the house, which has been nice. We have finally reached the half way point of the nightly injections, just five more weeks to go!

Ticker Change Monday! Six Weeks
Baby is now the size of a sweet pea!
Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks, and chin. Those little hands and feet - still webbed like paddles - might wiggly by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.
Today marks the beginning of my sixth week of pregnancy. Only 34 weeks left to go! Dr. A is very pleased with our progress so far. All fingers crossed!
